If you love word puzzles, you'll go absolutely crazy over the new discipline of Search Engine Optimization. And when I say crazy, I mean it in every possible sense of the word.
In simple terms, SEO is the art and science of getting internet search engines (Google, Yahoo and the like) to notice your humble outpost on the World Wide Web. It's a bit like wordplay, a bit like consumer psychology and a whole lot like a nuclear arms race.
To reliably land at the top of a Google search list, there's no way other than securing the help of a full time, savvy, dedicated expert in optimization...and I ain't one of 'em. To find one, simply Google the phrase "(your city here) SEO" and contact the company at the top of the list.
That said, I can't help trying a few amateur tricks to goose my own ranking. The articles in this section are apropos of nothing, but they were created to optimize the phrase "Milwaukee Advertising." How do The Crusher, the Kooky Cookie House and WTOS have anything to do with advertising? Because I say SEO! -Jeff
